General Director of IKMA, Gati Wibawaningsih took a picture with Tokoin team in the event of
E-Smart IKM 2019: IKM Go Digital in Surabaya, Friday (29/3).

Tokoin joined the socialization event of mapping ‘Making Indonesia 4.0’. Alongside the Directorate General of Small, Medium, and Various Industries (Dirjen IKMA), the Ministry of Industries, Tokoin contributes to the digitization of and literacy for MSMEs. Towards the Industrial Revolution 4.0, MSMEs in Indonesia are still left behind when it comes to information and technology. In the educational event, Tokoin could penetrate deeper in the MSME sector to widen the sector’s paradigm about digital utilization by means of blockchain technology. In particular, Tokoin took a role in educating the audience about the utilization of digital technology in MSME business operations, such as product selling, product shipping, payment system, supply chain management, and promotional channels.

Tokoin team were answering questions from audiences in Surabaya event of
E-Smart IKM 2019: IKM Go Digital.

The event “E-Smart IKM 2019: IKM Go Digital” is an endeavor by the Indonesian government to convey and clearly articulate the policy and governance programs directed at developing the MSME industry. The utilization of information technology is supposed to be an opportunity for MSMEs to be part of the emerging markets and maintain the sustainability of their business.

The event was held in the Dyandra Convention Hall, Surabaya. Around 1000 participants who are active MSME actors got the chance to widen their knowledge about the current trend and latest development in the information and technology industry. Tokoin also introduced its blockchain-supported platform that can assist business expansion in this digital era to accelerate the growth of MSMEs in the emerging markets.

Tokoin earned positive responses from the audience, as can be seen from the active dialogues exchanged in Tokoin’s information booth. The concept of Tokoin also received positive feedback from Gati Wibawaningsih, the General Director of IKMA, who said, “The concept of digital identity in Tokoin is a specific solution to support the government’s programs for MSMEs.”

By meeting MSME actors in person in such educational events, Tokoin believes that the public awareness of Tokoin’s project will keep rising, and this further encourages Tokoin to facilitate the MSME industry with precise and effective uses of the blockchain technology.
